Albanians, prudent with holiday expenses

Although in a holiday atmosphere, the Albanians seem to not like
spending too much. Although now they can travel visa free for the second
year, the travel agencies say that the number of Albanian holiday
travelers has not increased.
“This year, people are clearer with their choices. The number of holidaymakers is the same as in other years. The main destinations are the neighboring countries and western cities, such as Paris, Vienna and Brussels”, says the tourism manager, Flogert Xhabrahimi, adding that many Albanians prefer the neighboring countries, due to the few available days and good prices.
According to the tourist operators, the economic crisis in the neighboring countries has made the emigrants reserve less tickets for their relatives this year, different to one year ago.
“However, the Albanians are joyful and they like traveling. The western cities are favorites, but we have also had requests for the Chinese New Year”, declared Eni Pejo, a tourist agent.
The low economic income is what mostly makes most of the Albanians to celebrate through the traditional way.
