Blerina Gjylameti of the SP in power, was elected today as Deputy President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
The newly elected praised the new role in a post: “I appreciate the trust of fellow MPs in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in my unanimous election as Deputy President of the Assembly!”
“This important position is another confirmation of the trust and appreciation that Albania enjoys today in the international arena to contribute to the consolidation of democracy, human rights and the rule of law!”
“By accepting this high task in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, we will continue our commitments to strengthen democratic values as well as to advance the agenda of Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe,” Gjylameti said.
