One of the premises of the Aristoteli University in Thessalonica, under
the care of the “Mother Theresa Association”, has reopened the doors for
the Albanian emigrants’ children who want to learn the Albanian
language.

More than 110 Albanian students were accepted this year in this school that offers free studies for them, under the care of a dedicated staff, also for the fact that Thessalonica is the first place to allow schooling in Albanian language, in 2001.

“We are very happy, because we opened today the new school year for the Albanian emgirants’ children. This is an effort that has been going on since 2004, from the association ‘Mother Theresa’”, says one of the Albanian teachers in this school.

Teaching Albanian, especially in a foreign country, has a special significance, because it helps preserving our national identity, by teaching the emigrants’ children to preserve the culture and tradition of the Albanian nation.
