The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, declared that although the rain precipitations were more intense than two years ago, the damage was much smaller.
“Thanks to the investment made in drainage systems and aqueducts, the damage was smaller than two years ago. A novelty for this year was the fact that emergency operations continued during the entire night”, Rama declared.
The Prime Minister asked authorities to start identifying damage, giving priority to families in needs, schools and bridges.
Rama asked for responsible authorities to show transparency and seriousness in preparing the damage bills.
