Albanian Ombudsman receives Italian counterpart

In this meeting, Totozani informed Palma with the activity of his institution, especially as regards the mechanism for preventing torture during investigations, and also with monitoring the recommendations for the prison employees, and for establishing cooperation with the State Police.

During his stay in Tirana, Palma will be accompanied by Totozani at several police precincts, and they will meet with the Justice Minister, Petrit Vasili.

“This visit serves to improve relations between human right institutions and the building of bilateral and multi-lateral relations in this area”, says Totozani’s press release.
