The Albanian Ministry for Europe and Foreign Policy declared that the vote in favor of the resolution that requires the US to withdraw recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel reflects Albania’s unchanged position on this matter.
“Albania has aligned with the international consensus on Jerusalem, based on a considerable amount of UN documents, including a number of Security Council resolutions. We have joined the resounding majority of EU members by staying coherent to our decision for aligning our foreign policy with that of the EU”, Bushati declared.
The resolution that was presented by Egypt says that every decision for the status of Jerusalem is null and invalid and that it should be withdrawn.
