The proposition for having Albanian grammar taught even in universities, in every faculty, has been made since 2010.
The Grammar Department at the History and Philology Department has taken the first steps with the propositions which have not been taken into account.
Eight years ago, the Academic Senate decided to have the Albanian language an optional subject at the Medicine Faculty, but at the Faculty of Social Sciences it is obligatory.
Grammar experts see PM Rama’s attention to this matter as positive: “We have requested for years to have Albanian grammar included in the Tirana University programs, but if the project receives attention by the Prime Minister, it could be much easier”, said Rozana Rushiti, professor at the Tirana University.
