
The Albanian cinematography participates with another dignifying film in foreign festivals.
“Maya”, a film by Pluton Vasi, has been nominated in the category “The Best International Film” at the annual Swansea Bay Film Festival, in Wales, Great Britain. The film competes with four productions from Italy, Croatia, Greece and Japan.
“The participation in a film festival is very important, because it is a possibility for cooperation, especially when our film is nominated. It is something extraordinary, because this film is 100% Albanian production”, underlined Vjollca Dedei, producer of “Maya”.
Swansea Bay Film Festival takes place from 5 to 15 of May, and is considered as the festival with the greatest number of participators in Great Britain.
Its goal is to guarantee an international public for independent and experimental films.
The festival takes place at the birthplace of two world famous cinematography actors, Anthony Hopkins and Richard Burton, the love of Elisabeth Taylor’s life.
