The Albanian Foreign Ministry has followed the situation in Italy, in
cooperation with the Albanian Embassy in Rome and with the Italian
authorities, which have revealed the identity of the Albanian citizen
who lost his life.
The name of the victim who lost his life is Erjon Toro. The total number of injured Albanians mounts up to seven.
“Our embassy in Rome is keeping constant contacts with the Italian authorities and the emergency headquarters. These Albanian citizens, hospitalized at the Rome “Gemelli” hospita, are in good conditions: Xhesika Hasani, Sara Hasani, Romina Duro, Lori Duro, Hatixhe Hasanaj”, vijon njoftimi.
Albanian citizen in Rieti seems to be out of life threatening danger, while in Aquila, an Albanian citizen is hospitalized in serious conditions.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its deepest sympathy to the relatives of the victims, and wishes a quick recovery to everyone who was injured.
“The Albanian Embassy in Rome is following the situation very closely, on terrain and in full coordination with the Italian authorities, so that we can provide assistance to the Albanian citizens who were wounded. The Foreign Ministry will keep informing the public opinion about the events in progress”, the announcement ends.
