The Santa Maria Della Scala Church in Rome, built in 1610, starting from today will be led
by the Albanian Cardinal, Ernest Simon Troshani.
The Holy Father, Pope Francis, gave the church to Troshani last November, when he was appointed Cardinal.
The Papal Decree was read in front of dozens of devotees, clergymen and representatives of the diplomatic body.
Troshani addressed all devotees for more modesty, appealed them to leave materialism behind and keep their trust in God unshaken.
Other Albanian priests were present in this mass, who traveled to be part of the ceremony.
Despite having held thousands of masses, the Albanian Cardinal said this one was very different: “This is a tradition of the spiritual greatness and infinite love for freedom, for the people and the church. A symbol that we are all together”, Cardinal Troshani said.
