Albanian and Greek citizens arrested, suspected of trafficking refugees to Italy

21 refugees were caught today in Castro, Southern Italy. They declared they were Somali, Iranians and Syrians.

A few hours later, Guardia di Finanza seized a 7-meters vessel with one Greek and one Albanian citizen on board.

The two persons are suspected to be the traffickers who have taken the refugees to Italy. They were taken under custody for questions.

The investigations are important to understand if this is an isolated episode or not.
