Albania supports Libyan Transition Council

A press release on the online page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that the Albanian Government has closely followed the Libyan crisis and has supported the efforts of the international community to resolve it in full accordance with the Resolutions of the UN Security Council.

The Albanian government values the aspirations of the Libyan people for democracy and development, and has followed with sympathy and has supported the activity of the National Council of Transition, its new program for the Democratic Libya, and considers this Council as a legal representative of the Libyan people.

An official press release published this Monday says that “the Albanian government is ready to establish relations with this Council and give its contribution to reestablish peace and to build democracy in Libya. Such a step is seen by the Albanian government as support to the right cause of the Libyan people towards freedom and progress.
