On April 3rd, 2010, will be ready the first ABC book that will be used
in Kosovo and Albania, the first unique text that will be used in
elementary schools for the 2012-2013 academic year.
Jovan Kristaqi, councilor of the Education Minister, Myqerem Tafaj, explained for Top News that the novelty of this ABC book will be the same language standard and the unique method.
Kristaqi says that regardless the other versions that will compete, the Commission will chose only one that fulfills the conditions set by both respective ministries.
According to him, the text will join the three existing ABC books in Albania that are chosen annually by teachers.
After agreeing on planning the unique ABC book, Kosovo and Albania will start working for unifying the school texts.
The first unique ABC Book will be offered to the children of the Albanians who live and work abroad.
The text will be offered for free by the Ministry of Education of Albania.
