Albania and Kosovo have a joint custom transit space at the Morina
border checkpoint. This will cut procedures and will save time for
traders.

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, declared that this is a marked day that opens a new chapter for the customs cooperation between our countries.

“The delays for crossing goods will be cut from 2 days to five minutes. The Durres Port will be the only place that will deal with the goods going to Kosovo”, Rama declared.

The Prime Minister declared that a new regime will start this summer at this customs checkpoint. The Kosovo families that will come to Albania for holidays will not be inspected one by one, but occasionally.

For the Kosovo Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, the unification of customs will bring profits for citizens and businessmen alike.

The Albanian Customs Director, Elisa Spiropali, reminded that this step will give fewer costs to businesses and unnecessary obstacles will be easier.
