Albania-Kosovo, “European” border

The President Bujar Nishani began his first official visit to Kosovomeeting with Kosovo counterpart Atifete Jahjaga.

In a joint press conference, the two presidents praised the excellentcooperation between the two countries, while pledged continuity ofcommunication not only between people, but also that of commerce.

Kosovo president said that they agreed in the meeting that the borderbetween the two countries will be a European border. This year, thenation’s road ends, and this will contribute to the trade exchange andmovement. “I thanked President Nishani for the continued assistancethat Albania is giving to Kosovo in all fields,” Jahjaga said.

While president Nishani said that during this visit he had theopportunity to see the great advances of Kosovo. He welcomed thedecision for the end of supervised independence.

While asking for his opinion on the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Nishanisaid that Albania will continue to support all the efforts of Kosovo.”Dialogue is the most successful efficient means of resolving problemsbetween countries,” said Nishani.

President of Albania invited the president of Kosovo for an officialvisit. While his agenda was followed by a meeting with Prime MinisterThaçi, Prishtina Mayor Isa Mustafa held a speech before the parliamentmembers at a solemn session called for the occasion.

Speaking before the members, president Nishani said that Albaniasupports Kosovo-Serbia talks, for practical issues of two independentand sovereign states, adding: “also supports the Government’s redlines.”
