“Albania is far from the accession talks in the EU”, says the German MP,
Gunther Krichbaum, and Chairman of the Commission for European Matters
at the German Parliament.
“We will follow closely the progresses made with the decriminalization of politics, judiciary reform, fight against corruption and guaranteeing of free and fair elections”, Krichbaum says.
The German MP mentions the issues of Albania in an interview for Deutsche Welle, underlining that decriminalization is vital for the integration aspiration of Albania.
As for the judiciary reform, the German MP says that more important than this law is its implementation.
When asked for the CEZ scandal, Krichbaum said he is in favor of an international investigation.
