Alarming pollution in Fushe-Kruje

The Ministry of Environment and the Regional Environment Agency have
appointed an inspector to follow only the limekiln that use wires to fee
their fire.

The Kruje Prosecution has started several penal cases for the owners of some kilns. The Construction Inspectorate has interfered several times. The State Police has the duty to not allow the law to be violated regarding the environment pollution.

The Ministry, the Prefect, the Mayor and the Head of the Commune see everyday what happens with the Fushe Kruje and Kruje limekilns.

The smoke is always present in this area, mainly caused by plastic, tires and other wastes that are used to produce limekiln in an artisan way. Due to the inspections, the kilns used work only by night, but now they are lighted up on broad daylight.

The kilns use also plastic tubes as burning material. The owners earn their living by gaining a few money by the limekilns, but they also pollute their own families and the entire area.

The state structures that often speak about protecting the environment and for a clean tourist Albania, have closed their eyes in front of this massacre.
