Albania is listed as one of Europe’s most air polluted countries.
Recent data from the Environment Ministry show that the citizens of the Albanian capital are inhaling every day a heavily polluted air. Breathable dust, carbon dioxide and other elements were increased more than the allowed norms, affecting citizen’s health.
Very problematic remains the situation of the numerous constructions and old vehicles that pollute the environment.
The Environment Minister, together with some deputy ministers, visited today the “Shkolla e Kuqe” school, where children presented their drawings about environmental pollution. Educating children for protecting the environment is one of the projects supported by the European Union.
