Belinda Balluku, director of “Albcontrol”, the state-owned company that holds shares of “Air Albania”, said on Top Channel’s “Top Show” that its flight prices will be “absolutely cheaper”.
“The Albanian market has many abusive prices. We will bring absolutely cheaper prices”, Balluku said.
When asked why they chose to cooperate with Turkish companies, Balluku said they did not chose anyone, since the Turkish investors approached them with an offer, in cooperation with MDN Investments.
“It was the only offer coming from abroad”, Balluku says.
The “Air Albania” company started its procedures this June. A few days ago, Prime Minister Rama inaugurated the first flight. The Air Albania company is owned by Albcontrol 10%, Turkish Airlines 49% and MDN Investment 41%.
