Ahmetaj: Energy price will grow

Speaking from the Socialist Headquarter, Arben Ahmetaj reiterated that since 2005, the energy price has increased with 200%, underlining that the the only responsible for this is the government.

Ahmetaj showed through some documents that the realization of the foreseen investments was smaller than what predicted, and even from what CEZ is legally bound to fulfil.

“The report of 2010 says that 20% of the investments have been realized. It is the government’s duty to defend the public’s interest, and it is clear that this has not happened”, Ahmetaj declared.

According to the Socialist MP, “the situation would get even worse, since a further increase of the energy price has been promised to support CEZ in this new economic pyramid that is putting the entire Albanian economy in collapse”.

By focusing his accusation on the Czech Company, Ahmetaj noted that we are talking about many investments that will be realized, but there not a single reference of this company for the past investments.

During this entire week, Socialist Ahmetaj reported the alarming situation the Albanian energy is currently facing.

He emphasized that this year’s losses are equal to that of 1964. He reported the collapse with the privatization of the Distribution Service Operator and the clientele relations that the Government has established with CEZ Distribution, according to Ahmetaj.
