After some negotiations realized with the USA, the contradicts regarding the justice reform process have now found a solution.

While the Democratic Party said that the negotiations would be political and the Socialist Party that they would be done by experts, it seems that the international community has found a compromise by offering intermediation of foreign experts for the application of the Venice Commission amends in this reform.

The agreement was reached this Friday after talks that lasted for three hours. The parties in these negotiations were Ambassador Donald Lu and the leaders of the reform commission, Socialist Fatmir Xhafaj and Eduard Halimi from the Democratic party.

Official sources confirmed for Top Channel that the parties have agreed that the political dialogue asked from the opposition should be held by the reform commission.

This dialogue started this Wednesday at 10;00, at the Parliament, and went for two days. During this time the parties are trying to reach compromise for matter that were left open by the Final Opinion of the Venice Commission.

After this, the parties agreed that the solution for the suspended matters must come from the propositions of experts. They will be EU and US representatives from the justice offices of EURALIUS and OPDAT.

This process will last a few days and the matters will be sent for discussion paragraph by paragraph, as an entire package, at the justice reform commission. If everything goes well, the package might pass within March.
