The meeting of the bilateral commission for the cemetery of Greek soldiers was held today in Athens.

Sources from inside the meeting said for Top Channel that there was a positive climate after Rama’s decision to start working for the cemetery of Greek soldiers.

The parties agreed to reconfigure the cemeteries for which they agreed earlier in 2009, in Bularati and Kelcyra.

The commemoration ceremony will be held on October 28th, with a state protocol.

There are 129 areas where Greek soldiers may have been buried. The biggest area is that of Dragot, where more than 1400 of them have died.

The excavations will start in January 2018, and the DNA samples will be compared with the living relatives.

Greece says that there are 8000-9000 soldiers who have died in Albania and that they expect to find at least 3000 human remains.

In every grave there will be a cross or national symbol with pre-determined proportions.
