Aflatoxin found in milk

After analyses made at the Institution of Food and Veterinarian Safety
in Tirana, the National Food Authority says that there is high level of
aflatoxin in the milk brands mentioned by the Kosovo authority.
The NFA leader, Artan Gjergji, explains that the analyses will be held in a lab that has been accredited by the EU, and the subjects have been asked to remove the products from the market.
According to Gjergji, 17 analyses were held for Aflatoxin and were negative.
The tests for aflatoxin should be made starting from the food that is given to animals that produce milk, and then it should be repeated periodically. Due to the lack of funds, the tests have not been made by both Albanian authorities.
