Unofficial voices have often said that minors are pushed to robbery or
other crimes by adults, and this is the first time for the Court of
Tirana to trial a Paskuqan resident for pushing a minor to crime.
The Prosecution accused Shpetim Myftari of having used the 10-year-old J.C to steal metal objects in exchange of money. Myftari was the owner of a scrap metal center. The accusation is mostly based on the declaration of Altin Mamica, who caught the minor in the act.
Judge Arben Micko ordered the police to bring the defendant to Court through force, after he refused to be present. After this, the court will hear the testimony of the minor, who will be interrogated in presence of a psychologist.
Most of the minors that are involved in criminal acts work for adult criminals, but few of them ended in prison. The defensive lawyer declared that the minor had stolen on his own will.
