The Penal College of the Supreme Court assigned the experts that will
inspect and verify the video-scandal between Former Ministers Meta and
Prifti. The three technology experts are Albanian and they come from the
academic sector.
Ardian Olli and Ermal Beqiri are University teachers and Artur Rahmani comes from the Scientific Center of Information Exchange. Rrahmani replaces another well-known expert, Drtian Zoto. Zoto was not allowed, because the prosecutor noted that Zoto had expressed his point of view in a article for the “Shqip” newspaper, and according to the laws, he cannot be part of this group.
The prosecution asked a curriculum of the experts, a material that will be given to all parties. The experts will take their vows and the court will assign them the duties, and the Code of Penal Procedure provides. By the beginning of the process, the prosecutor Sheshi returned with a very delicate and controversial point in this process, regarding the order of the evidence.
The Prosecutor declared that the court must correct an interim decision, taken some weeks ago, and proceed as the law provides, with the order of the proofs that have been asked by the prosecution, such as the interrogation of the witnesses, with Dritan Prifti on top of the list. The judicial investigation will continue by assigning the experts. But the Supreme Court rejected this demand.
