After Bulqize, the Ferrochrome Plant workers in Elbasan asked their
directors for better working conditions and
wage increase, which hasn’t changed in the last four years.
According to the head of the Syndication Council in Elbasan, Ismet Dauti, the strike of Bulqize miners is righteous and the Minister Nasip Naço himself must intervene to solve the problem, instead of sending his Deputy Minister.
Bulqize strike has affected the work of Ferrochrome Plant too, since it is lacking of the basic raw material.
Elbasan Ferrochrome directors declared that the work is going normally and the workers of this company did not join Bulqize strikers.
Meanwhile, 150 Elbasan workers are insisting to hold a meeting with the President of the company for discussing possible changes in their working contracts.
