Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The Administrative Office in Northern Mitrovica is making the final
preparations for starting working after the election of Adrijana Hodjic
as chief of this office, and after appointing 7 directors and the staff.
Although the media declared that the office will start working next week, there was no date given from the Local Administration Ministry. Sllobodan Petrovic, who is also Deputy Prime Minister, declared for Top Channel that it will be soon functional.
“Based on the fact that there have been a lot of applicants for being part of the Administrative Office, I believe that the preparations will be complete soon. This will be a very transparent process and it doesn’t matter if it will open this week or two weeks later. It’s important to have it transparent and in harmony with the laws of Kosovo”, declared Slobodan Petrovic.
Petrovic declared that all measures have been taken for the new employees to have moer security in the northern part of Mitrovice.
“We have all witnessed people who have opposed the creation of the Administrative Office, but fortunately there has been no incident and the situation is very normal. I am sure that there will be no serious incident, also because we as a Ministry, in cooperation with EULEX and KFOR, have taken all necessary measures for having a good security level for the employees”, Petrovic declared.
More than 1000 people applied for 55 jobs at the Adminsitrative Office, and more than 250 of them come from the Serbian community in Northern Kosovo.
