Additional funds for Levan-Vlore

The construction value of the project was 42 million EUR, which was increased later by the government to 18 million EUR, bringing the cost to 60 million EUR.

“This was a full package directed by the former Minister of Transports, Lulzim Basha, and that was given to the ‘Alpin’ company with more than 100 million EUR in three very important axes, starting from the Tirana entrance and for continuing to the Levan-Vlore-Tepelena.

Based on what I heard one day ago – especially by the declarations made by the Foreign Serbian Minister and that are supported by the Albanian Prime Minister, that we need a new economic start in the cooperation between Serbia and Albania – it is related with the fact that this new start is very old, and it has been materialized a long time ago by the first segment that we are discussing, that of taking loans for building the infrastructure in Albania”, Brace declared.

“The Alpin Company is not Serbian. When the tender was held, it was a 100% Austrian Company that today has Spanish owners. You can find the status of this Company on the Official Bulletin of the EU, and you can verify the owners. During the eight years that you were in power, you have built more 250 km of roads in total. We have built 10.000”, Olldashi declared.

MP Brace listed a series of Serbian companies that have been favored in making business in Albania.

“The Serbian Companies are the main electric power suppliers, especially in such situations of crises that are stimulated intentionally for fulfilling the interests of these Serbian companies. Two Serbian Companies, the “Yugoimport” and its branch “Montenegro Defence Industry” have taken the monopoly on any kind of arms belonging to the former Albanian Army. The entire digitalization project of the Albanian schools landed on the hands of a Serbian Company. It was even caught in the act by the Supreme State Audit, and the profits of these Serbian companies go up to 500 million EUR”, Brace declared.

Opposition against the sale of the Lanabregas HPPs

The opposition was against the draft law for the ratification for selling the shares of the Lanabregas Hydropower Plant by the Tirana Aqueduct.

“He says that he is doing this for the citizens. In 2005 we paid water with 200 ALLcubic meter, and today it is 450 ALL. You take 15 million from the Tirana citizens which you spend in vain, and now the Tirana citizens will pay the water cost plus the 15 million EUR needed to pay your loan”, declared the Socialist MP, Gramoz Ruci.

“According to Ruci, it means that the opposition has no cell phones. They return in the past, because my fear has penetrated their cell phones. May God protect you”, Berisha declared.
