Actor Enver Dauti dies

The well-known Albanian artist, Enver Dauti, holder of the
“Distinguished Artist” title, passed away at 85. He was one of the
founders of the Tirana Comedy Theater and the National Theater, and also
one of the best known Albanian actors.

Dauti interpreted more than 400 characters and moderated many shows. His career started in 1957.

His first role was that of Bardhok in “Toka Jone”, 1964, which was followed by a serious of other roles in cinema, such as the cook at “Lukekuqe mbi Mure”, Kopi at “Cirku ne Fshat”, “Koncert ne Vitin 1936”, “Prita”, “Rrugicat që kërkonin diell”, “Fejesa e Blertës”, etc. His last role was in 1998, in “Koloneli Bunker”.

Dauti was born in Tirana, on April 1927. He gave a great contribution to the Albanian art and was respected as an artist by his colleagues and the public.
