The abandonment of senior citizens by their family is turning into a
concern in the town of Berat. Some of them, unable to face fate, many of
them decide to abandon life itself.
This is what happened to Petref Mehalla, 82, who lived alone. He hanged himself in Celepias, found by his neighbors. They had noticed that the 82 year old man had not come out of the house as every day.
The man was abandoned from his children, and their family had come from a Kukes village.
