Media dedicated a gala party to support women in Albania and to react
against the domestic violence that was seen this year against women.
A successful woman was rewarded this year with the annual award from the “Dritan Hoxha” foundation, and this woman was Vace Zela, for her precious contribution in the Albanian art. The award was sent handed over to the great Albanian singer in Switzerland by Vjollca Dako, Director of the media foundation “Dritan Hoxha”.
“I thank each one of you for this award. I’ll take this opportunity to wish a happy new year to all Albanians”, declared Vace Zela.
Not only as president of Top Media, but also as a woman that manages a giant enterprise and a devoted mother, Vjollca Hoxha greeted this special night for all women by giving messages of courage and support: “We are the better and noble half. We are a mother, a woman, a niece, a wife. We are careful, delicate and maybe frightened, but we have never lacked of courage. When you are a woman leading an important institution you have to face prejudice and critics, but without modesty I can say that the wonderful boys and girls of Top Channel have overcome all challenges”.
The event has continued with different performances of the best Albanian artists, such as Anita Take, Juliana Pasha, Marjana Leka, the first winner of “Voice of Albania”, Rina Bilurdaku and Alma Bektashi.
The Gala also had musical performances by some of the most popular instrumentalists who perform with successful activity throughout the world, such as violinist Suela Mullai and pianist Magnolia Trebicka.
Some successful women gathered in the University of Arts auditorium, together with others who live and work around the world and who were present through their messages on a giant screen.
Soloist Ermonela Jaho; soprano Inva Mula; singer Eda Zari; the translator and writer Mira Meksi and the writer Anilda Ibrahimi gave their messages through a video-conference and an appeal against violence and discrimination of women.
The famous moderator of Top Channel, Rudina Xhunga, supported this initiative considering this the year of women.
