The second person in charge at the Ombudsman will be a disabled person.
Advocate Igli Totozani proposed the Parliament to vote the candidacy
from the community of people with disabilities.
“The paradox today is that in an European Albania we are talking about delayed payment of disabled people, while an European Albania should belong to the European standards, which have payment as an elementary thing and the most important thing is their integration of the disabled in the political, social, economical and institutional life. The new Commissioner should be appointed by the disabled community. After meeting them during the year, we noticed that there are many among them who are more than able not only to work as Commissioners or as the second person in charge at the Ombudsman, but also as Ministers and much more”, Totozani declared.
The Ombudsman declared that he will follow the problems caused to them by communes and municipalities that have not paid this community.
Totozani says that during 2013 they will visit communes that have fallen behind with the payment of disabled people and that this year will celebrate with more difficulties than the rest of the society.
