Andrey Kovatchev is the first Bulgarian MP of the European Parliament, at the same time Deputy President of the EPP for Enlargement and Mediterranean Policy, and also rapporteur of the group for Montenegro.
In an article for EurActiv, Andrey says that the European Commission has underlined, especially for Albania, tha the progress with the rule of law will be decisive.
The country must continue to give concrete and tangible results for the five key priorities of the reform.
“The European Commission has praised Albania for implementin the reform in the judiciary system. The Vetting process for judges and prosecutors has started and it is already giving positive results”, Kovatchev writes on the article titled “Enlargement with Western Balkan will catalyze a stronger Europe”.
