Today in Elbasan opened the first hospital outside Tirana dedicated to patients affected by the coronavirus.
The Minister of Health Olgerta Manastirliu said that the regional hospital of Elbasan, otherwise known as Covid5, has 81 beds with “the necessary infrastructure and equipment”.
“There are three wards to support the patients who will need to be treated in regional hospitals.
“There are 81 beds that have the necessary infrastructure in function of the standards we have set for the regional hospitals. We are facing this situation through the investments we have made in the health system. In the first scenario there will be 5 regional hospitals that will be put into operation and measures have been taken for the entire infrastructure”, said Manastirliu among other things.
