5 years from Dritan Hoxha’s passing away

Top Media held a special event for commemorating its founder, showing a documentary realized with testimonies from the relatives, friends and collaborators who are bringing the humane portrait of the father, husband, friend and collaborator, and also that of a genial businessman.

“This documentary comes five years after the tragic loss of Dritan Hoxha, the founder of Top Media, the father, the husband, the leader, the collaborator and friend of many of our guests tonight, this documentary is made to show his life and work; it will show how a young man broke the taboos and crossed the limits of a very difficult reality, and brought an extraordinary contribution to his country and his nation. The documentary, which has some of his preferred songs, reflects the optimistic nature of Tani and his philosophy, which is still reflected in the ongoing work of Top Media even today”, declared Vjollca Dako, Director of the “Dritan Hoxha” Media Foundation.

The documentary is a retrospective view on the life of the man who changed not only the media market, but also the mentality of the Albanians.

With his intuition, ideas, vision and dreams, Dritan Hoxha worked with great passion and dedication, to bring a new way of thinking among the Albanians. Soon it turned into the most loved voice, figure and screen in our country.

This documentary brings for the first time the history of Dritan Hoxha as it really was: inspiring and inclusive, through the personal archives and the words of those who knew him.

“Dritan Hoxha is a supporter of free thinking, progressive culture and the civilization of Albanians”, declared Prof.Kristo Frasheri.

“For me, he is absent only physically, because in my family he is still there through four  stars”, declared his wife, Vjollca Hoxha, referring to her four children.

“I am very proud about my father’s work. The four of us, we want and we will continue what he left unfinished”, declared Sara Hoxha, one of Dritan Hoxha’s daughters.

Besides the documentary, friends and employees of Top Media held a special homage at the cemetery where is resting Dritan Hoxha, the man with whom they shared an important part of their lives, as well as sacrifices, achievements and joys.

The participants paid homage this Thursday on his grave, placed flowers and recalled the beautiful moments that each of them had with Tani, and tears were shed from everyone who is missing him today.
