Albanian PM Edi Rama was today in Vorë in the west of the capital, where he handed over the keys to the 404 completed apartments to residents whose houses had been damaged or demolished in the 2019 earthquake.
Rama told the citizens that the apartments belong now to the residents, emphasizing the fact that they do not have to pay anything but oly the common spaces must be maintained.
“What is important is that these are your homes and you have no obligations, no loans, no debts, nothing. Enjoy them and do as you like, just maintain this common environment, this is the only thing you have to do” – he said.
Among other things, the head of the government did not spare the jokes with the residents of the town who had come out to meet him.
“You are here as if you were in the middle of Tirana, but there they are costs while here they are free. Now just maintenance, please. All these must be maintained” – said the Prime Minister.
