Judges will vote on March 21st for the new members of the High Council
of Justice. This date was established after the meeting of the Executive
Judicial Council held this Monday at the Supreme Court.
Although the council had declared this date even earlier, it was necessary to hold a second meeting, since no names were filed during this period for the candidates that will demand votes from their colleagues.
It was confirmed this Monday that Judges Neritan Cena, from the Tirana Court of First Instance; Ridvan Hado from the Appeal and the Dhimiter Lara of the Appeal Court of Serious Crimes have all filed their requests.
The three judges will run for two vacancies at the HCJ, since the mandates of Dritan Caka and Hysen Saliko expire on December 14th. The Judiciary National Conference also voted in favor of four new members of the HCJ.
