253 citizens fined for violating epidemic restrictive measures

Albanian police services continue to check and patrol the entire territory, in accordance with the restrictive measures announced by the Albanian government, to control the spread of COVID-19 epidemic.

Authorities stated that in the last 24 hours, 16 drivers have been identified across the country in violation of the traffic stop order, who have been penalized with driving license revocation and vehicle blockage.

Across the country, during the last 24 hours, as a result of checks exercised by police structures and reports received from citizens at the official addresses of the State Police, on 112/129 and the Digital Commissariat, administrative measures have issued for several violators.

253 citizens moving on foot or by bicycle were fined, who were ascertained by the Police services to be without any reason or emergency.
In Tirana, citizen E. I., resident of Tirana, was arrested yesterday evening while walking on foot, and after he violently opposed the employee of the Police on duty, hitting them with hard objects.

In Korça, the citizen O. A., resident of Lushnja, was prosecuted because, claiming to be on duty, he did not obey the police order to be quarantined in a hotel in Korça, from which he had left.
