227 small businesses closed in Korce

Korce has registered a big number of closing small businesses during
2011. During the entire year, 227 businesses have closed and 238 others
have opened.
The economic crisis seems to have involved the small business, who are directly connected with the consumer.
The reduction of the buying power and the lack of consolidation for new businesses is the most common cause of failure.
The quick failure of the businesses also causes big monetary losses. But according to the data, even the businesses considered as consolidated, due to their long period in market, have had serious problems in paying the obligations.
Compared to the recent years, the number of new businesses has decreased, while the ones that close are increasing, a sign that confirms that the Albanian consumer has reduced the expenses.
