22 Albanian troops to Kabul

Albania has deployed to Afghanistan the 20th military contingent. The
mission this time will be carried out by the Military Police troops.

22 man and women will serve for six months in Kabul, as part of the Turkish Contingent.

“The result of these reforms and maturity of the Armed Forces, is our strength for supporting our allies”, declared the Minister of Defense, Arben Imami.

After taking the Albanian flag under custody, a few minutes before deploying to Afghanistan, the Head of this mission declared that the ugly event of February, that took the life of one Albanian soldier in Kandahar has not discouraged the Albanian troops.

“We will guard the military units in Afghanistan. This is a honor for our Albanian Army and our country”, declared the Chief of the Mission.

The Training of the Albanian Military Forces before the deployment was made in the US bases in Germany.
