The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, met with the families of Vora that were removed from the social welfare system.
“Families removed from the social welfare system reveal shocking facts. Their children are fed with pickles and the family is covered by debts. The families visited by the Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, were all unrightfully removed, such as Sabri Vrioni, who lives in a shack”, says the Democratic Party press release.
Vrioni told Basha that he was cut off the system which gave him 4800 ALL a month, while he shows the miserable state of his home and his girls being fed with pickled cabbage.
Spahi Koci told Basha that his three children were sick, with bronchopneumonia, due to the bad conditions of their home.
He told Basha that the two parents of these children are unemployed, currently taking care of their children in hospital, and now that they have been removed from the scheme, they have nothing to eat.
Basha said that if the government stopped spending for luxury, they would be able to pay social welfare for more than 30,000 families in need.
