The Tirana Prosecution has filed two accusations against the 20-year-old
Andrea Memollari, who ran over and killed Dhurata Prifti on a busy
Tirana street, and he almost killed her two children that were with her.
“I was panicked. I don’t know what I did. I didn’t think I was running over her”, Memollari said.
The 20-year-old was known to the police as a problematic type with a passion for speed. He had not consumed alcohol, but police is waiting for the drug test. Experts also say that street lights to don’t work properly in the site of the accident.
One day after the accident the street lights are working properly, but Sulce says that due to a lack of traffic culture from most pedestrians, authorities need to place rails along the sidewalks.
