Two 12th grades classes in the high school “Ismail Qemali” in Tirana closed today as some students tested positive for Covid 19 after showing symptoms.
The school administration has taken care to isolate the students and carry out their learning online while they will stay for 14 days in quarantine.
Parents of quarantined children expressed indignation at the decision: “My child has tested negative and is learning from home. But once they return and there are others infected they will stay home for another 14 days. So it means they’ll close the academic year online. This has no justification when social life goes on without any measure… ”
Dissatisfied with the decision to close the two classes, the parents went to appeal the decision to the Health Inspectorate, requesting that the teaching restarts normally on Monday.
