A tragic event happened on Sunday, August 18th in Velipoja, where a 19-year-old Italian youth was killed after colliding with his friend while riding jet skis in the coast.
Both of them were a mile away from the security perimeter and due to dangerous maneuvers they had an accident where 19-year-old Nicola Iorio later died in Shkodra Hospital with head injuries.
His friend Salvatore di Tella, was detained by the Albanian police on the charge of “manslaughter”, while the investigation has been entrusted to the prosecution of Shkodra.
Nicola Iorio, 19, had come on holiday with his brother and his girlfriend, who had rented two Jet Skis in Velipoja and were reportedly riding them outside the security perimeter, making dangerous maneuvers.
