A powerful fire broke up this Friday at the Corrush village,
Mallakastra, burning down three buildings. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
The fire started at the village hills, burning many olives and bushes. The Mayor of Mallakastra, Agron Kapllanaj, said that residents were evacuated for security reasons, while the firefighters of Patos, Ballsh and Fier are working under very difficult conditions due to the terrain.
There are other dangerous fires in Bulqiza, Dibra; Dropull, Gjirokaster, etc. In Grapsh and Zervat there are cult objects currently at risk.
The Armed Forces and dozens of residents from respective areas were engaged to help. There was help also from Greece, with two airplanes from Thessaloniki.
Currently there are 19 fires in Tirana, Dibra, Elbasan, Vlora and Gjirokastra.
