18-year-old girl: I killed him on self defense

The Prosecution accused her of premeditated murder against Fiqiri Muca, with whom she had an intimate relationship. The Prosecution asked harsher measure to be taken, that of prison until the end of trial, and charged her of intentional murder and illegal arm possession.

The defendant declared that the murder was not intentional, but on self-defense, since Muca was coming from Durres to take her away from the house where she was hiding. The girl did not regret the murder that she confessed.

The prosecution also presented the evidence of the taxi driver who brought Fiqiri Muca from Durres to Kerraba. According to him, Muca and the defendant had intimately spoken on the phone for more than one hour. According to the taxi driver, Muca was being chased not only by the girl, but also by her grandmother and uncle.

Both prosecution and defense admitted that the girl had been systematically raped by Muca since she was less than 14 years old. The Prosecution declared that they will have to verify the declarations of the 18 year old girl, Nazime Visha. Judge Neritan Cena left Visha to prison for 30 days and asked the Prosecution to give more explanations about the dynamics and prove the reliability of the defendant’s claims for rape.

The daily “Panorama” published a series of SMS that the girl had sent to the victim, showing that she was willing to have a relationship with the victim. But the lawyer insists that she is a victim of abuse. According to her, the affection towards the abuser is a syndrome that is recognized by the psychologists as the Stockholm syndrome. But the lawyer says that the police must concentrate on the fact that her report for kidnapping has not been investigated.

“The SMS have been sent by a phone number, and the family members say that their daughter had no cell phone. Now we learn that the victim had two cell phones, one of which he had given to the girl for communicating. It remains to be seen if the messages were written by her or under the threats of the victim. We must not forget the conditions in which she was living and the education level”, the lawyer declared.

The defensive lawyer says that there is evidence that the victim has taken the minor from school by force, denying this way any kind of normal relation between them. After the kidnapping of Fiqiri Muca, Nazima Visha was not accepted by her family in the Malvilez village of Tirana, a family that lives in misery.

Nazime’s mother declared that the victim was a friend of their family for the last nine years, and one of their daughters was married to his brother.
