Albania and Greece have reached an agreement regarding seasonal workers in the neighboring country, according to which 7,000 to 10,000 Albanians can be employed through quick procedures with the opening of borders.
Top Channel’s Artur Bibe reports from Athens that it was an agreement reached in record time between the two governments.
Albanian workers will be employed in fruit picking, mainly in northern Greece. These are workers who have already been to Greece before.
Starting from Monday, Greek farmers will apply to hire them, in a simplified procedure.
Albanian emigrants who will go for seasonal work will have to wear masks and use disinfectants.
