The Macedonian President, Stevo Pendarovski, declared in his annual speech in front of the Parliament tha the Mini-Schengen should have all the six Western Balkan countries, otherwise it will not succeed.

“The so-called Balkanic Mini-Schengen should be composed of the six members of the region, not only bu three. Otherwise, the initiative will not be functional. With this alliance we are not making any Greater Yugoslavia or Greater Albania. The time of such demagogies is over. We need the MiniSchengen to improve our lives in the Balkan, and to bring conflicts to an end”, Pendarovski declared, quoted by Northern Macedonian media outlets.

Other political parties in the country support any regional initiative that aims improving cooperation in the region.
