The Albanian Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati, attending the UN General
Assembly in New York, had a dinner with the Greek Foreign Minister,
Kotzias, at the famous Greek restaurant “Avra” on Madison Avenue.

Bushati wrote that the focus of their discussion was on addressing bilateral issues, based on international laws and European spirit.

“There will be a team of experts to treat these matters politically, and the report will be presented at our Prime Ministers. It is not an easy process, but I noted from this dinner with Mr.Kotzias that Greece is willing to get involved in this process”, Bushati said.

This is about the 12 mile border issue that Greece has with Albania. An issue they also have with Turkey. And maybe by chance, just a few hours after this meeting, the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, met with the Turkish President, Recep Taip Erdogan, known for their excellent relations.

It is unknown if they talked about the 12 miles, but Turkish media report that the 30-minute meeting focused on economic relations and investment possibilities.  Their meeting was held at the super-luxury hotel “Peninsula”, where Turkish President Erdogan is lodging during the UN General Assembly.
