Kavaja Mayor fired even cleaners and dish-washers

Fiks Fare brought tonight a scandal that is taking place with the Kavaja Municipality employees.
They have been fired on August 24th, as if they have not been present at their workplace.
“I have been working as a dishwasher for the past 14 years, and I have never received any bad remark. It is untrue that we weren’t at our workplace that day. We have been there, as any other day”, says one of the fired workers.
When asked by Fiks Fare, the Mayor of Kavaja said that they were not found at the working places. But behind cameras, he admits that the decisions were politically based. “Rama is merging ministries of the Socialist Movement for Integration to fire them. I am following the same tactics, because I like him”, the Mayor says about the Prime Minister.
He insists that there are many remarks against these workers, which would be made available by the General Secretary of the Municipality, Drinion Dedej. The latter, after keeping the crew for more than two hours at the institution, admitted that there are no other measures, and only the people who gave the orders must be held accountable for this.
